Warm Concrete & Oak Family Bathroom

This was a dark, dated bathroom — charcoal tiles, a bulky plastic shower pod and a cracked vinyl floor that made a generous room feel cold. We opened it back up and warmed it through. Large-format concrete-effect porcelain in soft taupe wraps the walls and floor, brightening the space and giving it a seamless feel. A curved shower-bath with a frameless screen makes the most of the room for a family, paired with a white floating vanity, a backlit mirror and a chrome heated towel rail. Oak touches — the door and a floating shelf — add warmth, while recessed lighting keeps it soft. Dark and dated became light, warm and practical.
