A Period Bathroom Reborn in Stone & Bronze

Behind the old suite was a period property needing serious attention. Stripping it back revealed lath-and-plaster walls, bare brick and a cold external wall — so the job began with proper insulation and a sound structure before a single tile went up. From there the room was rebuilt around warmth: large-format travertine-effect porcelain in sandy tones, with antique-bronze brassware tying it together. The showpiece is a walk-in enclosure with an arched panel of dramatic veined marble, a built-in bench and a bronze-framed sliding screen. A wall-hung WC, floating basin and round backlit mirror keep the lines clean. What was tired and draughty is now warm, solid and quietly elegant.
